BEDFORD, COUNTY - Today a community got together to help the family of a little boy who lost his battle with cancer.

Leevi Steele died earlier this month after battling cancer for two years. Leslie Foore is friends with the Steele family. She organized an auction Saturday to help the Steele's pay for some of their medical expenses.

People from around the area came to the Bedford County Fairgrounds to bid on the items. And every dollar raised goes to the Steele family.

To everyone who attended, donated, consigned, volunteered, or helped in any way, shape or form to help make the benefit for the Steele family benefit a success it was very much appreciated!!! It couldn't have been done without a joint effort thank you all. After expenses our total amount to be donated to the Steele family will be $1,491.51
