Penn State Receives $5 Million Donation

UNIVERSITY PARK, CENTRE COUNTY - Penn State announced Tuesday the commitment of a $5 million endowment for students with financial need.
The endowment from Jeff and Kellie Hepper of Texas is in honor of Jeff's parents who met at the university and graduated in 1947. In recognition of their gift, the university will rename the fitness center at Rec Hal for Clifford R. and Jean Kincaid Hepper.
This gift is the largest in the program's 10-year history and brings it close to the $100 million goal set in 2002. The university is matching 5% of the gift, making funds immediately available for student awards.
