Was the 2012 Hurricane Season Defined By Sandy?

There were 10 hurricanes in the last season, and only one was categorized as a "major hurricane," and that was Hurricane Michael. Didn't hear of it? That's because the storm stayed in the middle of the Atlantic for the duration of its one-week life.
