Steelers Out Of Playoff Race After 13-10 Loss To Bengals

By: Amy Gill
Updated: December 23, 2012
Ben Roethlisberger throws an INT in the final minute of regulation, which leads to a Bengals game-winning field goal.

The Steelers got off to a slow start, with Roethlisberger throwing a pick-six in the first quarter.

Pittsburgh trailed 10-0 late in the second quarter before they could get their first score of the game - a 60 yard touchdown reception to Antonio Brown.

The Steelers tied up the game 10-10 in the third quarter, and then the two teams went back and forth in the fourth quarter.  Both teams failed on long field goal tries.  Then, Big Ben threw the ill-fated interception to close out the game.

With the loss, the Steelers fall to 7-8, and are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs.  The Bengals and Ravens are the two AFC North teams that make it in.
