ALTOONA, BLAIR COUNTY-- It's a tradition all its own, shopping on Black Friday with  door buster deals, shoppers were breaking out the bills and trying to save.

The Mekkes family shopped all day.

"It's fun to see the new things they have out. The deals are phenomenal we've got a lot of stuff. Dad loves saving money" they said.

"It tradition" said Grace Marshall.

Marshall's car was stuffed to the brim and they said they were still looking.

Some shoppers said stores opening Thursday did not keep them from shopping Friday. In fact, they scoped out the deals and came back for more.

Everyone shopping was smiling at their savings.

"I got three times as much cologne and body was as I need" said Mr. Mekkes.

Saturday is expected to be a busy shopping day too as many people head out for Small Business Saturday.
