ALTOONA, BLAIR COUNTY - The government is trying to make it easier for folks to use fuel in recovering areas.

The Department of Environmental Protection granted two temporary fuel waivers because of fuel shortage after Hurricane Sandy. The two waivers allow people to use heating oil in diesel vehicles and in generators and other of-road equipment.

The waivers expire November 13th.
