Penn State Clinches Big Ten Field Hockey Championship

Park Ridge, Ill. - Penn State captured its first Big Ten Championship since 2008 and sixth overall on Sunday afternoon, clinching the No. 1 seed in next week's Big Ten Tournament. With the Nittany Lions' 6-1 win over Michigan State on Saturday afternoon, and Iowa's 3-2 win over Northwestern on Sunday, the fifth-ranked Nittany Lions captured the title outright.
 
Penn State finishes the regular season with a 5-1 conference slate and a 15-3 overall record. The Big Ten Tournament will be held on Nov. 1-4 in Iowa City, Iowa.
