People who have broken or faulty AC systems are now in a jam, because service technicians may not be available. Air conditioning companies are
swamped with calls, with some wait-listing people for two weeks or more, and they're having a tough time getting Out to all their appointments.

Companies are trying to play catch up after being caught offguard by this heat wave. since their busiest part of the year is late July into August,
they're expecting the phone to keep ringing. While the wait time varies between companies, folks that need service should expect to wait. Bill Smithmyer,
owner of Smithmyer HVAC & Plumbing, says he's pretty much booked throughout the rest of this month, and tells folks that need service,
to just try, and try again

"Call and get on the list,it's uh, right now it's quite a few calls coming in, but we have to deal and field them as they come in. I would say just
stay proactive on it, and keep up on your maintenaince and stuff."

Smithmyer also says that keeping your system on all the time, puts less stress on the air conditioner. And your best bet for quick service is to get it
checked out before the summer months.
