Penn State Splits Doubleheader

UNIVERSITY PARK, PA. -- The Penn State softball team split a doubleheader with Ohio State on Friday at Beard Field.

The Nittany Lions lost the first game, 5-2 and then bounced back with a walk-off 6-5 win in eight innings in the late game.

They will conclude the three-game series on Saturday at 1 p.m. Head football coach Bill O'Brien will throw out the first pitch on Senior Day. Flowers will also be given out to the first 50 mothers who walk through the gates in honor of Mother's Day. Also, pink wristbands will also be given out as PSU celebrates Pitch for Pink, a breast cancer awareness event.
