UNIVERSITY PARK, PA. -- Led by top-ranked gymnasts in individual events, the No. 1 ranked Penn State men's gymnastics team feels good about their chance to win their third conference title heading into the Big Ten Championships next weekend.

The Nittany Lions capped off their one-loss season by posting the nation's highest score of the season against 10th-ranked Temple last weekend.

A mix of veterans and a strong freshman class make up this team, including top-ranked rookie Craig Hernandez on the pommel horse and Scott Rosenthal -- a Clearfield native -- who is ranked No. 1 in the country on still rings.

"It's really exciting going into the end of the season and high caliber meets. We knew we had potential, but we've really grown, we've got a lot stronger and more consistent, everything's cleaned up. It just looks as whole a whole much better team," said Scott.
