BEDFORD, BEDFORD COUNTY - WTAJ News spoke with folks who have had to adapt to the weather in the middle of their work week.
Francis Boyle's driving from outside Pittsburgh to Lancaster. As a Salesman he says he can't put off hitting the road to see his customers because of a snowstorm. But he made sure his house is in order, before heading out.
"My wife and kids are at home, and I wanted to make sure that the snow blower's all ready to go for them in case they need. And fortunately my boys do a good job of taking care of mom when they're at home, but we make sure everything's tied up and make sure everything's covered up real well."
Stephen Brang builds ejection seats in Johnstown. He says his Wednesday morning wakeup will be a little earlier.
"...The roads aren't' really cleared early in the morning, you have a lot of traffic, people leaving late, not ready to go, it's kind of dangerous."
Boyle says that even though central PA gets plenty of snow, he still sees plenty of unnecessary chances while out on the snowy roads.
"...If you don't have to be on the road, don't be on the road number one, number two would be definitely speeds need to slow down significantly. People just think because they see the brine on the road that they can keep going, but the ice that's out there, I don't care if you have a four wheel drive like I do or not, if you're on ice, you're not going to stop."
