We will keep a brisk northwesterly wind today with chilly high temps only topping out in the low to mid 30s. However, clouds will break for some sun this afternoon.
Tonight we will have just a few patchy clouds around and lows near 20. Tomorrow a winter storm start to advance to the mid-Atlantic seaboard. The heaviest part of this system appears to be to our south. By late tomorrow or tomorrow evening some snow or mixed showers start to move into to counties along the Maryland border.
Tuesday night into the first half of Wednesday, that system will bring snow into the region. Since the heaviest snowfall appears to be along the Route 22 corridor and southward, the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Somerset, Bedford and Fulton counties in our region. Those areas seem to be the most likely to see a shovel-able snow of more than 4 inches. That watch may be expanded farther northward as the system approaches.
On Wednesday the storm could still be affecting southeastern parts of PA through the first half of the day before working it's way off the coast. Highs will be in the mid 30s. On Thursday it will be variably cloudy with a few flurries or a snow shower around. Highs will be in the low 30s and it will be windy.
It gets warmer with some sunshine for Friday though Saturday. Highs will climb into the low to mid 40s.
