Cashier Stops Armed Robber

ALTOONA, BLAIR COUNTY - An area cashier stops an armed robber and hold him until police can arrest him.

It happened around 11:00 Sunday morning. Police say Joshua Guido walked into Lorinco's Market and demanded money. He knocked the cash on the ground and that's when the cashier and a customer wrestled him to the ground and got the gun.

They held him there until police arrived.  The customer got minor injuries. Guido now faces several charges.

Altoona Police say the never recommend a member of the public confront an armed suspect.
