A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for Somerset, and Cambria counties until 5 p.m. Sunday. Some locations could see more than 4" snow, but many communities in the Laurels will have closer to if not less than 2".
The atmosphere will be a little unsettled for Sunday with scattered snow showers and flurries. It will be breezy and cold with clouds breaking at times and high temperatures only getting into the 20s.
Sunday night into Monday will be cold, with low temperatures in the single digits; but highs Monday will get into the low and mid 30s. There will be a break with clouds and sunshine until the evening when the next disturbance will arrive, bringing rain and snow showers that will last into Tuesday.
That will be followed quickly by another disturbance for Wednesday that will bring another round of snow showers. We'll be mostly sunny for Thursday, but there is a chance of rain and snow showers going into next weekend.
