Jobs at Local Plant Move Out of State

JOHNSTOWN, CAMBRIA COUNTY - 78 Jobs at a local defense contractor will be transferred from Johnstown to Maryland.

Lockheed Martin Global Supply Chain Services announced Monday afternoon they are moving the jobs from their Richland Township facility to Maryland.

The move is expected to take place by the end of August.

We are told it is a cost saving move by the company. 

The Lockheed Aerospace plant which is located next door will remain open with 344 jobs.
