Reported by: Meteorologist Steve Newton

A Freezing Rain Advisory is in effect for the viewing area from 11 p.m. tonight until 9 a.m. Monday morning. (Jefferson County's advisory goes from 10 p.m. until 4 a.m.) Ice accumulations will be light, and will turn over to rain as we go through the morning. There may be school and business delays, and you can go to the closing page to see if there are any delays that affect you.

Temperatures will start near freezing Monday morning, but warm into the 40s by the afternoon as winds begin to increase. Communities along and west of route 219 could see snow showers Monday night into Tuesday, and there is a chance of snow showers east of 219 during that time.

Sun and clouds will be around for Tuesday and Wednesday, but another disturbance will move past us to the south Wednesday night into Thursday, bringing a chance of rain or snow showers.
