BROCKWAY, JEFFERSON COUNTY - In Brockway Memorial Point Park there is now a wall filled with the names of over 200 veterans. Amoung the names in Robert Stowman, Coast Guard, 1943-1949.

Stowman volunteered for the Coast Guard while his brother was overseas. Being just 20 years old after serving his first term, he reinlisted.

His need to volunteer never left him. He credits his drive to growing up during the depression and providing a helping hand during one of the toughest times our country has ever faced.

Due to the contributions he has made to the community, he was named Brockway's 2012 Man of teh Year.
