CHIP Program Funding

HARRISBURG, DAULPHIN COUNTY - Governor Corbett says he wants to re-energize the Chip health insurance plan for children.

During a visit to a library in Wilkes Barre the governor focused on his plan to increase Chip funding by $8,5 million.

The additional funding will be used to make more Pennsylvanians aware of the program and to expand the enrollment by 9,300 children.  

The governor says about $1 million of the proposal will be used to toward the long-term goal of insuring all eligible children in Pennsylvania.
