Updated: Friday Night, January, 25th
Reported by: Chief Meteorologist Joe Murgo

Saturday will be a cold day with clouds and a few peeks of sunshine. The best chance for some sunshine will be east of I-99. there will also be scattered flurries and snow showers, more numerous to the west. A ridge of high pressure will settle over the region and give us plenty of sunshine on Sunday. That sunshine will help the mercury to rebound to near 30 for the first time in almost a week. This is just the start of a big warm up early next week.  A disturbance on the leading edge of milder air will help bring clouds and a bit of a wintry mix Monday that eventually change to all rain on Tuesday. It will be a slow and gradual warm up with temperatures reaching into the upper 30s Monday and then rising Monday night and reaching the middle 40s on Tuesday and then reach into the upper 40s on Wednesday. There will still be periods of rain Tuesday with leftover showers early Wednesday. A chillier air mass will return later next week.
