Temperatures will peak in the low to mid 30s for many communities Sunday before the colder air takes hold, by the afternoon many will see temperatures in the low to mid 20s.Winds will be strong at times from the west and west-northwest. There will also be periods of snow Sunday, with a trace-2" possible along and west of I-99.

More snow will fall Monday as another system moves through with much of the viewing area seeing snow. High temperatures Monday will be in the mid and upper 20s.

Monday night/Tuesday morning through Thursday morning will be the coldest period of the coming week, with lows near the single digits and highs in the upper teens and lower 20s. Wind chill during this stretch will be below zero for many locations.

Temperatures will warm back into the 20s for Thursday and Friday, but another system will be moving in for Friday, bringing rain and snow. Colder air will stick around for the weekend, but it long-range models are pointing toward temperatures warming a little going into next week.
