NANTY GLO, CAMBRIA COUNTY - An area volunteer fire department is dealing with one tragedy from their ranks and trying to prevent another.

The Nanty Glo Volunteer Fire Department buried one of their brothers Tuesday, and their chief is fighting a dangerous infection in the hospital. The rest of the department is trying to raise money for his medical care, because Joe LaMantia is almost of sick leave.

The department is holding a spaghetti dinner and basket raffle January 27th at the fire hall in Nanty Glo. The department is asking people to donate baskets they can raffle off on the 27th. You can also donate money directly for the medical costs.
