LAKEMONT, BLAIR COUNTY -- It was a party in purple New Years Eve at the Casino at Lakemont Park in Blair County.

This Believe Gala was organized by the Greg and Cathy Griffith Family Foundation in the fight against pancreatic cancer.  Greg Griffith, a Hollidaysburg community leader lost his life to the disease in 2011.

This night it was all about celebrating life.

As organizers Cathy Griffith and Roz Sky explained,
"We wanted it to be about hope and the future, not about the sadness of pancreatic cancer - and celebrating life - celebrating life."

Over 100 folks attended this first annual gala with all funds raised going to help in the fight against this deadly disease.
