MARTINSBURG, BLAIR COUNTY - Decorating is a big part of getting ready for the holidays. At the retirement community,  Homewood in Martinsburg, Blair County there is an amazing gingerbread house on display.

Joe Gilbert is manager of the retirement community's Terrace Cafe. He baked and built a gingerbread house from scratch.

Joe says it took him 40 hours! And, the everything on it is edible.
"I baked the pieces here and put them in my car. I took them home and bought the candies on Plank Road, everything's local."

Parts of the home are named after some Homewood residents.  And, it even lights up!

The gingerbread house is on display at "The Terrace Cafe" through the holiday season.
