You can't stop yourself from aging, but eating healthy foods may help your skin look younger. The lycopene in tomatoes is thought to help keep your skin smooth. Tuna, salmon, and other fish rich in omega-3 fatty acids may help preserve collagen, which keeps your skin firm.

Registered Dietitian Laura Jeffers, Cleveland Clinic says, "if you ate a cup a strawberries it helped to prevent wrinkles on the skin, which a lot of people would be interested in, and having a couple of strawberries is a great way to increase your fruit intake."

Jeffers also says an ounce or two of dark chocolate a day, if it's made up of 60 to 70 percent cocoa, may improve your skin's texture. But the bottom line is if you're already eating a healthy diet, you're already doing what you need to do for your skin.
