Altoona Counterfeiter Sentenced to Prison

ALTOONA, BLAIR COUNTY - A judge has sentenced Michael Elvey II to 30 months in prison, along with three years supervised released, for violating counterfeit laws.

Elvey, 25, made roughly $5,000 in Federal Reserve notes.  He made them between December 2010 and February 2011.

The Altoona man recieved his sentence this week.
