Preparing for Hurricane Sandy

By: Laura Hartog
Updated: October 27, 2012

In an emergency, knowing what to do is your best defense. Start now by learning the risks, making an emergency plan and getting involved to help others. Although Pennsylvania is not a hurricane prone state, we do receive heavy rains, tropical winds, flash and general flooding from the storms that come up the east coast. No matter where you live in the state, you should be prepared for a flood emergency.

WTAJ News is working with emergency officials to keep you informed.  Your Weather Authority is also tracking Hurricane Sandy to help you prepare.  Get the latest forecast by clicking here.
