QUECREEK, SOMERSET COUNTY--- This week marks the 10th Anniversary of the QueCreek Mine Rescue in Somerset County.  It was the second major tragedy to hit the county in less than a year.  Nine men were trapped underground for 77 hours just ten months after Flight 93 crashed.  All nine men were rescued from being trapped underground.

"It was one miracle after another," said Carol Love.  "It's a story we want to keep telling and keep a live."

'It is a positive part of history," said David Long of Stoystown.  "I can't believe it has been ten years."

Long brought his grandkids to the memorial for the first time Monday.

"It's something they can see and learn about it," said Long.

Events take place all week long for details click here.
