Updated: June 22, 2012

The Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) will host a Job Fair on Tuesday, June 26, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at PA CareerLink of Centre County, located at 1300 Benner Pike, Suite 2, in State College.

PHEAA has an immediate need to fill full-time, entry-level positions for Call Center Representatives/Loan Counselors working in a fast-paced call center environment at its State College facility.  PHEAA Human Resources staff will be available to answer questions and provide information about the job openings.

Area residents looking for job opportunities are encouraged to visit the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency's (PHEAA) online career center and apply online.  Candidates must have a high school diploma or the equivalent. Previous customer service experience and Spanish language skills are a plus. Benefits and career growth opportunities are available.

Loan Counselor positions involve responding to in-bound and making outbound telephone calls regarding student loan accounts, including communication with borrowers looking for information about their student loan accounts and borrowers who are delinquent.

Job seekers are encouraged to complete an application in order to be considered for employment. This application, as well as detailed job descriptions, can be accessed online at pheaa.org/jobs. Applicants can also visit the "PHEAA Jobs" Facebook page for more information.
