Teacher Walk-Off

By: Nate Potter
Updated: October 21, 2008
(Butler)  --  Teachers in the South Butler County School District say that they will walk off of the job Thursday morning after being unable to come to an agreement on a new contract.
The district says that it will close schools on Thursday with the exception of students at the Butler County Area Vocational Technical School where classes will continue on their normal schedule.
The district will also keep their sports teams on their normal schedule.
The district had wanted the teachers to agree to non-binding arbitration rather than walk off the job.
