During one two-and-a-half week period this summer, 13 counties in Pennsylvania reported fatal domestic violence cases. 24 people died in those incidents.

Here in our region, Family Services Incorporated tries to help the victims of domestic abuse escape violent situations before they turn deadly. But the Domestic Abuse Program needs your help in order to continue providing shelter and other services. Right now the agency is looking for volunteers to assist in its Domestic Abuse Shellter and Rape Crisis Program. All volunteers will receive domestic abuse and rape crisis training.

For information on how to get involved in the training, contact Jackie Condron at 814-944-3583 extension 326 or jcondron@familyservicesinc.net.
