PHILIPSBURG, CENTRE COUNTY - Police arrested a man after they said he stole a pickup truck, led them on a chase and crashed.

Richard Bloom ,29, is in the Blair County Jail.  He's suspected of stealing a Chevy Silverado on Tuesday in Osceola Mills, Clearfield County.

Someone spotted the truck in Philipsburg at 4:00 p.m. Tuesday.  When police tried to pull him over, Bloom sped away in that truck.

After a short chase through Philipsburg, Bloom tried to make a sharp turn and smashed into a pole.

He was arrested and placed in the Blair County Prison on outstanding warrants.
