Man Wanted in Two States Arrested Locally

STATE COLLEGE, CENTRE COUNTY - State College Police reported a 41 year-old man wanted in Kansas and Missouri was arrested Thursday afternoon in State College. Police said they had gotten several calls about suspicious activity near Nittany Mall. Callers reported men asking for cash and hanging around the area.

When police responded, they pulled over a pick-up truck with Missouri license plates and discovered the vehicle had been reported stolen. They also found a stolen semi-automatic handgun in the truck. Cops arrested the driver of the truck, Damon Roberts. Roberts was wanted on felony charges in Kansas and Missouri. He faces several charges related to the stolen truck and gun. He is being held in the Centre County Correctional Facility. 

State College Police said Roberts was passing through the area as he traveled to the Rainbow Gathering in the Allegheny National Forest. That gathering is scheduled for the first week in July.
