Blair County Hires Finance Director

HOLLIDAYSBURG, BLAIR COUNTY - Blair County has a new Finance Director on the job.
County leaders say it is because their budget is so tight that hiring the new manager became a top priority when their former finance director resigned last month to take a new job.
On this Tuesday, the Commissioner in Hollidaysburg voted to hire Bob Kuntz as the county's new finance director at an annual salary of $55,000.
While the County leaders were split over the best candidate for the job, all three members felt it was important to get a new finance director in place as quickly as possible.
Commissioners Donna Gority and Diane Meling voted in favor of hiring Kuntz, the former Hollidaysburg Borough official as the County' new finance director.
Commissioner Terry Tomassetti voted against hiring Kuntz saying he just preferred a different candidate for the position.
