BOY SCOUTS PARTICIPATE IN TIRE RECLAMATION AT JACKSON TOWNSHIP

Through grant money obtained for PA Cleanways, Boy Scout Troop 11, Chartered by Westmont Presbyterian Church, will be collecting abandoned tires in wooded areas in Jackson Township Saturday.  Amfire Mining has given permission to PA Cleanways for a tractor trailer to gain access via their private road in order that the tires recovered could be loaded and taken away.  Preliminary search shows that there could be up to 500 tires needing to be recovered.Scouts from Troop 11 and their families are going to be part of this service.  The Cambria County Conservation district and the Community Foundation for the Alleghenies are also supporters of this effort.
