BEDFORD, BEDFORD COUNTY  -- Some Bedford County high school students were honored not for their work in the classroom, but rather their perfomance in the work place.

The Bedford County Technical Center held it's 8th Annual Employer and Employee Recogition Day Program for the Transition to Work Experience program.

The program places students with developmental disabilities with employers throughout the county.  This year students from various high schools in Bedford County worked at over 30 different work sites.

This year six new work sites joined the program.

The recognition ceremony is a chance for students and their employers to share what they learned from each other.
