PA Leads the Way in Stimulus Spending

The Governor says that 's a big deal because Pennsylvania has received a total of $994 million in stimulus funding to boost the economy with transportation improvement programs.
The Governor says that more than 99 % of that money is for projects that are already out for bid, under contract, or under construction.
The Governor say with that much federal money flowing into the State, people are being put back to work.
While debate over the stimulus effort continues in Washington D.C., in Pennsylvania the Governor say the program is having a big effect.
Governor Rendell went on to point out that most of the stimulus funding has been going to what he called smaller companies with one hundred or fewer employees. The Governor called that one more way the Federal Stimulus program is helping smaller business get through some tough financial times.
