HOLLIDAYSBURG - BLAIR COUNTY  The front of the Blair County Courthouse  in Hollidaysburg has turned into a construction zone this week.
County workers have spent the last couple of days  tearing up the large flag-stones that make up the walk- way to to the main entrance of the Courthouse.
A new concrete walk-way should be in place by this coming weekend.
County leaders say the repair job was required because   over the past few years  there  have  had a number of complaints about  people tripping on the  flagstones.  County officials say the flagstones  were also  a problem to maintain because they presented an  uneven surface.   In the winter county workers reported the walkway was difficult to shovel.   It was determined that the  best course of action was  to replace the flagstones in the walkway  concrete.   Because the repair work is being done with county workers providing the labor, the Blair Commissioners  said the project should be completed at little expense to the County.
