Funeral Arrangements for Fallen Firefighter

CAMBRIA COUNTY - Funeral arrangements have been made for John Polimine from the Scalp Level-Paint Volunteer Fire Department in Windber.

Polimine died Saturday during a training event at the Cambria County Fire School near Carroltown.

He was 51 years old.

Arrangements for the funeral services are being handled by Meek and DallaValle Funeral Home, 1312 Graham Avenue, Windber, Pennsylvania.

A Firefighter's Casket Side Service is scheduled for Wednesday at 7:15 p.m. at the Funeral home. Visiting firefighters are asked to meet at the funeral home by 7 p.m. .

A funeral service will be held for Polimine on Thursday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Visiting firefighters are asked to muster at the Scalp Level - Paint Volunteer Fire Company station on Main street in Windber by 10 a.m. .

Any fire departments planning on attending are asked to email the fire station at slpfire616@aol.com with an estimate of number of attendees and pieces of equipment.

A memorial fund has been established to assist the family with funeral expenses. In lieu of flowers, or to assist, contributions can be made to:
