Prom for many teenage girls is a chance to dress up, look glamorous and perhaps blow a lot of money to make sure that happens. But one local teen is sticking to a less expensive option. Ashantai Hathaway has the story. Hathaway says," Is it like you thought it would be when you where 7 years old and thinking about going to prom? " Not exactly," Prasko said. By Now Kendra Prasko is a mastered this. Just hours before prom she is finishing her dress made of duct tape. Hathaway says, " Was there a time when you thought you were not going to finish?" " Last night, " says Prasko. It took more than a month to make the dress. Prasko started with drawings. She revealed the dress to her date the night of Prom. Prasko says, "Surprised?" Last year Kendra went to the prom stag. This year freshmen Ray Keith gets to take her, and wear the duct tape tux she made him In the end, Kendra hopes the dress will win her first place at the" Stuck at Prom" contest, as for the dress. Hathaway asks, " Is it going to last all night what do you think?" Prasko says, I think it will, it's duct tape laughing." The first place winner gets a a 3,000 scholarship.
