Fire Guts Elks Lodge

SMITHFIELD TOWNSHIP, HUNTINGDON COUNTY - Fire broke out in the Huntingdon Elks Lodge Friday morning.

Most of the damage was not noticeable from the outside, but flames gutted the club's second floor apartment.

It broke out just before 9:30 a.m. in the building on Fairgrounds Road in Smithfield Township.

Firefighters kept it mostly contained to the apartment.

No injuries were reported.
