Federal Housing Tax Credit Deadline Looms

HARRISBURG, PENNSYLVANIA  -- Time is running out for Pennsylvania first-time home buyers to qualify for the up to $8,000.00 federal tax credit.

A binding sales contract must be signed by April 30th.  The house must then close by June 30th.
  

For current home owners who are buying another principal residence, a tax credit of up to $6,500.000 is available.  Those deals must also have a signed contract by April 30th and close by June 30th.
