JOHNSTOWN, CAMBRIA COUNTY--- A group in Johnstown is hoping to raise enough money to illuminate a piece of history.

The Stone Bridge Project is currently underway.

The project was started and endorsed by the late Congressman John P. Murtha.  The group plans to dedicate the bridge once it’s finally restored and the lighting is completed.

The Stone Bridge Project needs about $80,000 more to cover the $1.2 million in both repairs and restoration.

To contribute to The Stone Bridge Project checks can be mailed to:

The Stone Bridge Project, c/o J.A.H.A.,
 P.O. Box 1889, Johnstown, PA 15907

Or

The Community Foundation
