ALTOONA, BLAIR COUNTY - Governor Mike Huckabee spoke to hundreds of people at Penn State Altoona. It was mostly an older crowd with very few students. He said that America is going through some tough times. But we've had tough times before and gotten through it, and we'll do the same again.

Governor Huckabee told the audience he wasn't going to give a depressing speech about how bad he thought things were. And true to his word he kept the audience laughing through most of the night. And people in the audience enjoyed that.

He hasn't decided whether or not he will run for the Republican nomination for the presidency. He says he won't make that decision until after the November elections. He thinks there will be a lot of changes there, because the democrats have upset many of their constituents.

But people in the audience were hoping he does run. Representative Rick Geist was there and agreed. And so do a lot of other people a recent poll from Public Policy Polling says if the election were held today Huckabee would beat President Barack Obama. Huckabee says the poll is flattering but he thinks President Obama will be tough to beat, because he won't have any competition in the primary and he'll have a lot of financial backing.
