HARRISBURG, PENNSYLVANIA  --  Governor Ed Rendell yesterday announced annual tax revenue from the state's slot casinos will top $750-million.

Rendell and state Budget Secretary Mary Soderberg confirmed that $772-million in slots tax revenue will be used for school property tax relief in the 2010-to-2011 school year.

That averages out to about $200.00 per homeowner within the state's 499 school districts.

When Pennsylvania enacted the slots casino law in 2004, the governor predicted the amount of property tax relief would eventually hit the billion-dollar mark.
