ALTOONA, BLAIR COUNTY - Dozens of people were arrested on Thursday morning in a county-wide drug sweep.

At least 24 people were arrested suspected of selling a number of different drugs.  Police had warrants for 8 more people.

Authorities said this is another example of how the drug hotline is working.  They said that a lot of the suspects were found because of tips from the community to the Push Out the Pusher Hotline, (1-866-693-3020).

Police said throughout the 9-month investigation some of the suspects sold drugs to both under police officers and informants.

The investigation encompassed much of Blair County.

Officers said the suspects were selling heroin, crack, cocaine, marijuana, morphine, suboxone, methadone and other prescription drugs.

Authorities did credit community help like the Push Out the Pusher Hotline for bringing this illegal activity to their attention.  Click Here for more information about Push Out the Pusher.

If you would like to report illegal or suspicious drug activity, you can call the hotline, and remain anonymous, toll-free at 1 - 866 - 693 - 3020.
