Jury Selection Slow-Going In Indiana Co. Toddler Death Case

Blacklick Twp., Indiana County - Lawyers on either side say it's been a difficult process to seat a jury in the case of an Indiana County man accused of killing his girlfriend's son.

Joshua Turner is charged with first-degree murder for allegedly biting, punching and severely shaking 19-month-old Leonard McIntire in November, 2008.

Six of twelve jurors were chosen yesterday, with many saying they knew too much about the case to be impartial, while others said they would not deliver a death sentence.

Prosecutors are pushing for capital punishment, while Turner's defense attorneys argue he is mentally disabled, and therefore ineligible.
