Suicide Prevention Walk Planned for April 17th

ALTOONA, BLAIR COUNTY --  The Blair County Suicide Prevention Task Force and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention are looking for walkers and donors for their first ever Out of the Darkness Community Walk.

The 2.5 mile walk will take place on April 17th at Penn State Altoona.  Walk registration begins at 9:00am.  The walk will begin at 10:00am and end at 12:00pm. A survivor ceremony will be held directly following the walk.

Proceeds from the Out of the Darkness Walk will benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention to fund research, education, survivor and awareness programs, both to prevent suicide and to assist those affected by suicide.
