Senator Arlen Specter said Tuesday nearly 4 million dollars of stimulus money will go a long way in helping the James E. Van Zandt Medical Center in Altoona.  Sen. Specter visited the veterans hospital Tuesday.  The money was part of the 2009 Recovery Act.  It will help the hospital remodel it's nursing home and replace windows among other things.  The director at the center said the projects would have taken much longer to complete without the money.
