Car in Lake

BALD EAGLE, CENTRE COUNTY - State Police in Centre County join forces with some scuba divers to try and fish out a car that sunk to the bottom of a lake.

The vehicle was first spotted in the lake at Bald Eagle State Park in the fall of 2009.  A fisherman found it using sonar from his boat. Crews couldn't retrieve it then because the water was too deep.

They still weren't able to bring it up Thursday because it was embedded in the lake bottom.

Troopers think the car was abandoned there when the area was flooded to form the lake back in the 1960s.
