HOPEWELL TOWNSHIP, BEDFORD COUNTY - State Police shot and killed a man after a stand-off in Bedford County.  They said 67 year old Chester Guyton pointed a weapon at them.  Police said the shooting happened after 90 minutes of trying to talk him into dropping it.  The stand-off was on Yellow Creek Drive in Hopewell Township.  A neighbor told WTAJ News police called him and told him to stay inside his house and away from any windows.  State Police were originally called to a home there at 10:30 am for a report of a distraught male.  When they arrived, they learned Guyton had guns and was threatening to hurt himself and others.  Guyton then reportedly walked out of his house with a weapon in hand.  Then at around 1:30 pm, police said Guyton pointed the weapon, engaging the troopers thus resulting in the use of deadly force.  Guyton was pronounced dead at the scene.  A neighbor told us he was surprised and Guyton was a friendly neighbor but recently had some health problems.  Guyton's family did not want to comment on the incident.  Police plan to release more information tomorrow.
